Quality isn’t bad, but not as hardened as expected for the price. Not recommended for heavy or thick steel.
Only negative thing is the flimsy holder. The largest bits are in front, so most of the time I have to struggle to look in the middle or rear. There is no pull handle so I made a hook from a piece of stiff wire to grab the front lsyer of bits. All 3 layers move in tandem; you cannot move the layers separately, making it difficult to pick out bits from the middle layer. I expected better on a $100 drill bit set.In the other hand, the bits themselves reek of quality. The are coated with oil, and feel razor sharp; several times I thought I cut myself just handling them!Love the bits. Hate the case.

I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised at the life of these bits considering the cost. That said I was 2 holes into drilling pilots for deck screws on my trailer before the bit dulled out and broke.
Cut great
if used at the proper rpm, with lubricant, these bits will last you years. i fabricate with rc57 stainless and these are my go-to.
Replacing drill bits can get expensive and these hold their edge much better than cheaper bits. So far I'm impressed with their edge, speed and length. The index bin indicates both the diameter and the drill no, size.
Didn't stay sharp long even when oil was used and minimal pressure applied
Not much to say, they are sharp, hold their edge. Quality set, glad I took the risk, I am very happy with my purchase.
These bits have been great. They are the only ones that will drill steel like they are supposed to that I have found. The only flaw in this American made product is the pos box that the bits are in. Love the bits, the box, not so much.
A throwback to a time when products were made well without the glitz and gimmicks. I haven’t used them enough to comment on their durability but they are working flawlessly so far. They are expensive so I’m using them only in the shop and going to try to use them with cutting oil and at the right speed and feed.
Beast drills for all metals including stainless.
Overseas made drills just do not hold up, so I paid more for USA made drills, but you get what you pay for. I am very pleased with these drills
These were a gift to me back in the 80's but I highly recommend these to anyone who wants a decent set of drills that for many will last a lifetime. In more than 30-some years of use I've managed to break everything smaller than 1/4" but this set in general is terrific. I came here to replace my hardware store replacements with the original stuff.

As always a good drill bit. Unfortunately the holder is cheap and as in my case was damaged in shipping. They must have dropped it and is unusable.
I like this set of bits. It's possible they aren't the highest quality, but i'm not drilling holes for the space shuttle or anything. What's nice is the bit holding aspect of the box accounts for the bottoms of the bits when you lean each section out. You can easily pick a bit, then put it back without the holders binding due to the longer bits gumming up the works.I have another set of bits I got from another site which are fair, but it's such a pain to fold everything up to close the case due to all bits sliding to the bottom and then you can't fold the thing shut. You sort of have to tip it upside down to close it.
These will likely never see heavy use from me as a basement hobbyist. That said, I wont be able to attest to their longevity. But I'm happy knowing that I bought a quality product that will last a very long time,

These are top quality American made drills.
These work great on my lathe. Cut through aluminum really well and so far have stayed sharp.
Excellent bits. I had bought a set of gold colored titanium bits from Sears thinking Craftsman was good. Well they broke pretty easy and get dull fast and are hard to sharpen with the pilot tip without special tools. I decided to try this set as it was not one of the cheaper ones, I figured with the competition out there, it has to be better than the cheaper ones. My gamble paid off! These bits are for professional everyday use. I used then a lot in my metal fabrication shop and I have not broken one yet! And it takes a bit of drilling before they need sharpening. I have a Drill Doctor sharpening tool which sharpens them great. I recently had to drill a bunch of holes on a sheet of stainless steel and used one bit for the job. It did quite a bit of holes before needing to be sharpened. This is my second set for another job site. Buy with confidence.

My son's love these. I bought 2 of these sets at Grainger and gave them to my son's for Christmas gifts. They love having a complete set of real INDUSTRIAL GRADE drill bits. These are made in America too. Unlike the cheap Dewalt or Irwin "industrial" drill bits these will drill thru stainless steel. That is the sign of a good tool. My youngest son just graduated from tech school with a degree in machining. He is using these at his new job as a tool maker. If you want a good set of high quality drill bits buy these. If you are drilling a few holes on wood then buy the cheap stuff. You get what you pay for...
