best screw for the money. good for when you have stripped the old screw hole and need something bigger to hold this is an awesome screw, over priced but well worth it when your needing some,also good for wallboard hanging of toilet paper holders or towel bars where there is no stud etc.etc.. the uses are unlimited i have used them on many different jobs.i have used these walldogs for years. love them when i need to anchor something to wallboard or? .these ones are short but they come in different sizes best ones are the 1.5 inch ones but in my work i use all sizes.
While there are certainly advantages to using an anchor and screw, these all-in-solutions are just so easy to use, and make quick mounting a breeze. They are actually stronger and grab better than expected, even in 1/2" drywall. At times they give better results than plastic Zip-Its, which is my second place savior. I have also had good luck unscrewing them and putting them back in the same place when the need arises. Overall, these are a necessity in my fasteners bin.
I tried these out a few years ago and have not looked back since. The strength and convenience of this solution for hanging pictures and even small shelving on drywall has been incredible. I've introduced handymen and other people I know in construction to these and they are amazed at how good and fast they are to use. No need to drill big holes for larger anchors. Many times I'm able to reuse them if needing to relocate items to different areas of walls, especially pictures/photos etc.
Ordered three boxes of zinc and received two boxes of zinc and one box of black phosphate??? HORRIBLE now I can’t finish my job this week dues to not having the correct fasteners.
I found that my drywall is back by a cinderblock wall, which did not leave much room for any fastener to penetrate. These self anchoring fastener were the perfect size for my project to hang window treatments.
I have been using .. the blue brand for years. Found these at hardware store and gave them a try.These are perfect for hanging things or mounting.. they work in drywall and brick unlike the other brand.With the other brand if you move the drill bit to much... the hole gets to big and the screw wont hold. With these.. holds every time!I love em.. and have since stocked one of each color.

these were advertised as being chrome, they are just galvanized. they will still do the job ,but I expected chrome that's what was advertised I feel ripped off!
