I am 71 and don't like to climb ladders anymore. I bought 3 of these and joined them together with a driver holder and was able to install screws overhead from the floor. It worked great and these items hold solid. Cost was a lot cheaper than a trip to the ER if I fell from a ladder. I am looking forward to trying them this summer to put in deck screws without bending over so much.
This extension has come in very handy in drilling holes in hard to reach places. The slide quick connect is also convenient for hex bits. A word of warning: When withdrawing your extension and drill bit, be careful the quick connect head doesn't push against the sides of the hole and potentially release the bit. This happened to me, but was lucky enough to be able to get it to engage again.
Super helpful (especially for a shorter guy like me) for reaching ceiling joists while I'm hanging soffits. Highly recommnet - very sturdy.
It worked perfectly. Purchased as to give my right angle adapter yet another 12" reach. That coupled with an impact style gun, actually allows one to complete some otherwise nearly impossible tasks. Being able to control what you are doing might take some skill.
Adds length to your drill bit to get hard to reach areas
This extension feels solid, grips the bit securely, been using it for a bunch of holes in my impact driver.
I use this to make holes through studs to run electrical wiring. Worked great.
Used this for many hard to reach places.
Only had to use it twice. No failures yet. I have Milwaukee 18V with the old 1/4" pull ring to load chuck so just the fact this takes care of that bad design makes it worth the money.
I purchased it for work. I use it daily. It was a very reasonably priced and well worth the money!
I was drilling through a rim joist with a spade bit when the spring on the adapter holding the spade bit broke inside the rim and I when I tried to pull it out it ripped the chuck off my drill. The bit was stuck in the adapter I threw everything away. 1 time use.

I am an electrician and was expirementing with this to save money on drill bits. Spade bits are much cheaper than ship augers.Anyways, the first think to break was the hex shank. Not a big deal, just stuck the thicker part of the shaft and tightened down the chuck, worked great. However the quick release tip broke after being repeatedly pulled backwards out of holes. Now it's useless. I'm going to try the Bosch one with set screws holding the bit in, as that seems more rugged.
I’m familiar with Diablo saw blades and figured perhaps the same level of engineering would be applied here. No BS, this thing has had its ass handed to it day after day after day and it works just as well as the day I bought it. I use this with a strong Milwaukee impact on cars, stairlifts for the disabled and quite a few other demanding applications. Then if I haven’t abused it enough, I typically through it still attached to my impact and a socket with a 3/8” adapter in my truck at the end of the job only to kick its ass more within in another hour or so. Nice work Diablo/ Freud I engineering team. Price is right and durability is spot on !
As advertised, good price holds up well of months of use.
 Update:After a bit of physical persuasion and a few gentle nudges with a hammer, the mounting mechanism released its prey, and started to play nicely again. We'll see for how long.Original review:The release mechanism jammed after making a few holes, making the tool permanently attached to the extension. At least it is chuck, so I can still use it.
