I still have several vintage Vice Grips I bought in the late '70s. The quality and hand feel of those old tools is sadly lacking in most modern, Chinese-made tools available today. After watching the test of locking pliers on the Project Farm YT channel, it was obvious that these Malco Eagle Grips were the best currently on the market. Sadly, Malco recently stopped producing these in the USA, so I invested in a pair while they're still available. No regrets. The quality is 100% equal to my vintage Vice Grips. Don't hesitate. Buy a pair now while you can. You'll be able to hand them down to your grandkids so they can experience this now-rare level of quality.

I wanted to buy a pair because Made in USA. Decided I better take the plunge after reading the company would no longer be making these or going out of business. Made in USA, wishing the employees the very best of luck!

These crush the competition. Sad to see Malco no longer making these. Got a few for my boys, as these are the best.

These are worth the money. They feel good in the hand and operate flawlessly. If you can afford it, buy it and don’t look back.
Isabelle Davis
Worth spending the extra money for a very well made product.

25% price increase since the 2020 election WOW! These are beautiful tools made in America and well designed. They are the epitome of clamping pliers. Maybe a little slippery due to the finish but with gloves and for welding they are the best you can get. But others are catching up. The others don't last as long and may not be able to clamp as hard but at the current price of the Malcos, you can buy three of brand X and use them as fillers or for less important jobs saving the one or two Malcos for the important stuff. That may slow sales and overpricing often does. People find a way around wasted cost. Other than that, If I have something that needs the best, I use these. Beautiful tools apparently built and assembled by quality people in a quality factory.

These are the best "vice-grips" in the history of the world, hands-down. It is a tragedy that the company closed down.

Yes these locking pliers have a nice shiny finish, but I was disappointed that the tips of the jaws have an offset when when I close them and I can see daylight between the surfaces of the wire cutter. Also the release lever is looser at it the roll pin pivot point than I would have expected. The adjustment screw didn't turn as smoothly as I would have liked, but a little moly lube helped a bit. I may try chasing the threads with a tap and die. Yes, the shiny surfaces are a bit slippery with bare hands, but I'm usually wearing Gloveworks diamond textured nitrile gloves and they overcome that problem.
Athena Bogan
The finish is amazing. They are heavy and solid. Great pliers.
David Kansiime
These are the highest quality, made at the Original Vise Grip plant in DeWitt, NE. They are similar in quality to the ones made 30 years ago, but with a polished corrosion resistant finish and enhanced durability features.
Nomfundo Dlamini
Yes, these are better than the originals and the off patent versions from china. These are pricey if you consider them as likely disposable. There is some merit to the feedback that the smooth finish can be slippery when oiled. There are several notable improvements over the originals.Keep it soaked in ballistol and will it to your grandkids
Yasmine Jackson
These are the best locking pliers on the market. Made state side, beautiful craftsmanship, and down right solid. It’s a shame that these are getting discontinued because they are the best pair of locking pliers for the money.
Leonardo Medhurst
Bought this as a gift. Assumed it would come with the box like my other pair of Eagle Grips came with. Nope! No box. Just a handle tag.

I've had Knipex, Snap-on, mack, and Klein vice grips. These are by far the best I've ever used. I grabbed a screw today and bent the head of the screw in half. I can't say enough good things about them!!!

Nice to see good quality tools made in United States. These work very well and I anticipate the last a long time.

Grabbed a couple of these while I could. Found out that Malco will stopping producing. Very solid tool.

Best locking pliers. I use these for everything from securing weldments to removing rounded bolts to torquing screwdrivers and they never disappoint. Buy once cry once. They’re also made in America. Word is that after Irwin shipped all their workers jobs to China, Malco bought their Dewitt NE plant and now makes a better tool and gave a bunch of those people their jobs back. Best value for money all around.

This is an incredible tool, not just the locking plier - I have several locking pliers (other brands), but the near non-existent play/wobble, the smooth operation of the locking mechanism my pinky can unlock, the squareness and near perfect alignment of the jaws, and the bite achieved without straining to close.Biggest issue since getting is now I reluctantly use my other locking pliers, and when I do grab them see the slop I hadn’t noticed before. Ordered the 7” version within the first week receiving this 10”.There are lots of cheaper locking pliers, but at twice even three times the cost of some of those this is worth it if you appreciate high quality tools.
Madisyn Gibson
These are a very finely made set of tools. Just a pleasure to use.
Tanya Wessels
I'll keep it short and sweet, but this tool is everything "American Made" is supposed to be. Pure quality in your hand. From the moment I pulled this brute out of of the package (a pretty cool little box), I instantly knew it'd be something my grand kids would be using one day. It's shamed every other locking plier in my tool box.Don't get one - Get two!

UPDATE - The day after I received my new Malco locking pliers, they announced they will no longer make them. So much for that lifetime warranty claim. At 3X the price of any other competitive brand - with the same warranty, seems I got the short end of the deal. After a recent vehicle repair that ended up requiring the use of locking pliers (unsuccessfully) I vowed to find the best made version available. These are it.Made in the OG Vice Grip plant, these are an updated version of the original design, slightly improved. Like the Allen head in end of tightening screw - if you ever need to really crank down on something, you can.The reinforcement around where the tightening screw goes into pliers is another improvement. Watching tests of competitive pliers on line shows this is another potential failure point.Finish of tool is also much better than the original model. My only complaint is the jaws of my pliers are slightly uneven, as if they weren’t filed flat before they were finished.

Very nice USA made tool

Best everything! And Made in the USA!

I've been told a few times that these are the best. I was doing a project car where I needed some and all the ones I had weren't quite doing it. I tried, Irwin, kobalt, vamplires, dewalt, other pro brands I had, I even tried cheap harbor freight ones. Nothing worked, so I bit the bullet and shelled some dough for these and damn! These are all everyone said they would be, I don't know exactly what they are made of but they are heavy, like 2.5 times the weight of Irwin (the real Vise-Grips). Quality is the best I have seen yet. Treat yourself to one, it ain't cheap, but so worth it.
Pooja Kulkarni
I just got so tired of wrestling with cheap imports. These are very well made and sturdy USA made pliers!
Ebiere Oladeji
These are very high quality, sturdy, beautifully crafted locking pliers. I’ve used these a few times since my purchase and they work very well. Unlike some other brands, the jaws are easy to disengage when you need to remove or reposition the pliers. I’d recommend these to anyone and think they are more than worth the extra money. I’m also thrilled that American manufacturing is back in Dewitt NE.
Desiree Cormier
The quality is unbelievable! You can feel the quality of construction the second you place it in your hands. So darn incredible to even look at, you want to add it to the family picture but you know your wife would be upset if you did. Made in the USA even better!! Worth every darn cent paid.
Norris Farrell
These are the best Vice-Grips made. These are made in the USA and are just a well designed good quality product! Can't be beat.
Andrew Adams
These things are amazing. I put them through alot by gripping onto old Grade 8 bolts during a Harley repair. The Eagles did not even have a scratch on the teeth, which means these are VERY hard steel and well made.I would recommend these for the price. You will never need another one, and it will give you quality every time you use it.It's nice to see vintage Tool quality in newer offerings. Hope that trend continues, otherwise its back to hunting down old made in USA tools at garage sales and restoring them.
Neil Murray
When you take them out of the box you will feel that they are heaver weight than other brands. You can tell holding it that it a well made, high quality pair of pliers. Since I use and abuse my tools daily for my work I buy quality tools that can take it. I can tell that these will for last for many years of daily hard use. The fit and finish is superb and they come with a lifetime guaranty. Well worth the extra money.
Laurence Labadie
These are by far the best locking pliers ever made. They took the quality of the last USA made pliers and made them even better. I just got tired of throwing the cheap overseas junk away after the teeth flattened out and became useless. My old DeWitt USA pliers my dad gave me 25 years ago are going strong too. Glad they're back to making them like the old days.
Phoebe Price
I bought this for "future use" after Project Farm said this was the best vice-grip. Well, the future came when I was trying to disconnect a brake line hose. The nut on the brake line was rounded off, wrenches wouldn't work, and the Malco came through! So glad I had it when I needed it.
Abisoye Bamisebi
This is what the original vice grips use to be. A little pricey but get what you pay for. These are on the snap on truck now rebranded snap on and cost quite a bit more. If your tired of cheap vice grips buy these
Wilfred Nimukunda
Bought off of the recommendation of Project Farm YouTube channel. I've inherited a few vintage USA made vise grips of a few brands and these are every bit as good—really all the best parts of the best ones put together—with a premium fit and finish. They're a little pricy to replace all your current ones but the one pair I have is always the first I grab.
Sumayyah Olutola
Finished as finely as jewelry. Made in USA. Snap on rebrands these as their locking pliers. Even at less than half the price, the competing locking pliers aren't even worth a look
Josue Eichmann
Absolutely loved these pliers. The feel just as good as they look in the hand. I have already put them to work, and had no trouble using them as the grip was fine. I used my bare hands and had no problem. The jaws took absolutely no damage and the teeth stayed just as sharp. This is a purchase worth the money. A great example of you get what you pay for.
Laura Solomons
I love these Grips
Nompumelelo Malan
A little pricey but a high quality tool.
Pamela Kitovu
Great quality. Even though I am a 71 yr. old widow, I was able to operate these vise grips yet they are very heavy duty. You can feel the quality as you use them. My dear late husband would be proud of me for this purchase. He would use it on metal pipes, rusted nuts & bolts as the adjustability is amazing. I bought them to help me remove corroded metal plumbing parts.
Nidhi Kumer
Great to see a classic brought back to US manufacturing facility with small improvements.
