Overall I really like this stapler, although I have only had it for a month. . I have been a professional upholsterer for 20 years and have used many different brands of staplers. Fasco has always been a quality brand. You can shoot staples fairly quickly without jamming which is often a problem with long nose staplers. My only complaint is that the spring mechanism that holds the staples hangs up sometimes preventing the gun from firing. Silicone spray seems to have helped but it’s still annoying. It appears that the problem is some rough machining on a couple of parts, hopefully it will smooth out over time.

When I first got it I couldn't wait to use it. Had it for over a month before I could. First usage was great, was really pleased as I do a lot of upholstery. Took another couple of months before I needed it again and it started ok then the nose quit shooting staples. I looked at it and found it had a gap. So I tried to get replacement parts and no go. Went to the manufacturer web site and it sent me to Amazon to buy a new one. So now I have a worthless piece of Junk. Doesn't even work for a door stop!

Fasco 11077F 22-Gauge 3/8 in. Crown 1/4 in. to 5/8 in. Leg Length Long Nose Fine Wire Stapler

I needed a long nose stapler for reach/access into tight spaces. The nose tip is thin which was a bonus for a project I had that had tight grooves (where fabric finishes against show wood). The tool worked well- but my 2 biggest gripes are:(1) the safety catch is a pain to hold back during use- I taped over it to save my fingers from hurting after 2 mins.(2) the staples weren’t driven all the way in compared with my other staple gun. I was operating at around 80psi which is well within the specified range. I had to apply more physical pressure to hold the stapler against the surface of the wood in order for the staples to be driven fully tight.

This staple gun has been cheaply design with plastic parts to it , I purchased a long and short nose to replace my rainco guns which I had for over twenty years , in particularly the long noise since day one failed to shoot the staples , it will jam , not shoot or the staples will come out the side of the nose , reason been the nose does not stay tight enough it keeps getting loose and when I attempt to tighten it the plastic holding the nose screw started giving , highly dissapointed . Not recommended especially for heavy upholstery work , get a gun without any plastic material constructing it .

Probably about 1/4 to 1/3 of the staples would jam or cause the gun to not fire because the staples were coming out of the sides of the long nose. Talked to rep from mfg who suggested it might’ve been the China-made staples but I returned it. Bought a Sailrite long nose staple gun for half the price and not one staple jammed or misfired during an entire upholstery project.

The only downside are the staples, you can not find them in the local stores, because the 5/8 is really just what is the closest standard measurement for the metric sizing. However, I liked the ordered staples so much better than the big box store stuff for upholstery. Back to the gun... love it. Took a bit to get used to the safety trigger..but now no issues...love the long nose and now that zim not fighting to engage the safety like I did on my old gun...my shoulder is sooooo much happier.
