Good screws
I was restoring a pair of chairs I had gotten for free. I had to replace the original screws that were flathead and stripped. When I was putting the chairs back together, I wanted something that would be easy to drive, wouldn't slip, and wouldn't strip. These screws were tops for that.The threads of these screws are amazing.Toward the tip, the threads are serrated, and there's a slice and edge along the screw that cuts through wood to make way for the rest of the screw.After the normal threads, there are longer threads to clear out any debris.Also they're fun to drive.
I bought these screws to hang some plywood shop cabinets I built for my garage workshop. I wanted star drive screws because I've used GRK screws on past projects with my impact driver, and they are fantastic. But the screws had to be long enough to get through sheetrock and into the studs behind, so I ordered 3+" screws for my 1/4" backed cabinets, and 4" screws for my heavier 3/4" backed cabinets. They don't strip on driving, are plenty strong, and seem like a very good value for money.
one of the best screws on tge market for the money and quality. self taping and stainless takes the worry out drilling into pressure treated wood.I use these for majority of my projects.
