Box says 400 screws, only came with about 175
These screws are a pretty good value compared to some others out there. I have been using them to screw rough cut 2"x6" boards to fence posts. I like the rounded heads so there is no possible way for an animal to scrape themselves up on them. The screws drive good although I drill holes in the boards to prevent splitting and to allow me to adjust the board position precisely before it becomes immovable. I also drive them deep enough to countersink the screw heads a bit. That allows me to use a skill saw to cut to length and at the proper angle. I'm on my third box of these screws now and will buy more when I run out!

Strong, much easier to use than lag bolts
These screws are awesome,and really grip well,better than lag bolts
Although more pricey than conventional fasteners, the results and ease of installation makes up for it.
We used these lag screws to attach running boards to the deck of a bridge. They were a breeze to use and really bit and penetrated the deck with ease. The starred head was fantastic and after screwing almost 400 through pressure treated lumber and into Hemlock beams, not one stripped...not one. Love it when a product delivers.

I'm building a 26'x26' deck. I like that It has a wide torx head instead of a screw head. They have great tensile strength.

Good faster for many applications. I used these to attach furring strips for a rain screen over rigid foam. These are better than the black headlok fasteners due to the coating, self tapping tip, and serrations on the under side of the pan head. The serrations allow the head to be counter sunk by simply tightening the fastener to the desired depth. Otherwise (e.g. Headlok) counter sink drilling with a forstner bit is required.
although this may be the best quality screw availible , it does not meet manufacture's description . THIS screw listed as 5 / 16 inch . Shaft size is .201 inch , O. D. of thread is .270 inch . One eight inc wide shoulder under head is 5/16 or .312 inch . HEAD o.d. is 5/8 or .625 . THIS screw bores pilot hole . AUGERS wood chps to the third stage of process which Reverse auger packs wood chip back down to create a seal that i have not seen previous . A very high quality screw , i like it but description miss lead me to believe this was a .312 inch shaft .. and there is tapered lock ramps binding screw to lock in clockwise , back out lock min i have not seen this feature in any bother wood screw hurrah for grk == BOO for desription . this bis smaller than 1 / 4 inch screw. it is screw size 11
A very well engineered and manufactured product.
I used several hundred attaching my own structurally insulated panels. Only 1 failue driving it into 2" oak. My only complaint: "Why can't we make them in the U.S.?"
