I recently purchased the 75lb Drywall Anchor and I am satisfied with it. The anchor is made of high-quality materials and is very easy to install. I used it to hang a heavy mirror in my living room and it held the mirror securely and safely. The anchor's weight capacity of 75lbs is more than enough for most household items. It's a great value for the price and it gets the job done.
This is such a crappy product. I used them for several things and they do not expand in the wall like they're supposed to. nd the item will fail, fall and they slide right out. Any review that says they are great is being paid off because they are sheeeet.
I used these to install these floating shelves instead of the hardware that came with the shelves. I wanted to make sure they wouldn't just rip out of the dry wall. As you can see the shelves themselves are pretty heavy and i have pretty big appliances on them. These seem very sturdy and so far everything is holding up great!!
I was nervous about mounting anything in the bulkhead over my sink, but with these I’m really confident now and the installation of my new plant shelves above my sink. These little ditties screwed right in, and I was actually able to use the screws that came with the shelves to go with it that allowed me to capp over and dress up and make it a clean finished product that makes this product pretty versatile as well
We had several curtain rods to hang and knew some of the rods would only be in drywall. I watched several videos and researched which anchor I wanted to use. This one is sturdy and easy to install. I think it helps to use a small tap tap tap on the end as you are screwing it into the wall. It's secure and so great to hold up a heavy curtain. I feel 100% confident in its ability to hold up the rod and curtain.Highly recommend.
I’m a 20 year old woman with pretty much zero experience in doing housework projects with tools and stuff. These worked perfectly. You can even use a manual screwdriver (which was what I needed since I don’t have one of the electric drill screwdriver things).Only issues I had were due to user error (trying to go into a stud by accident) but they were even able to be reused after being taken out of the decent sized hole I made in my wall! One thing to note though is you might need longer screws to get the thing to click if you’re screwing in something thick like a shelf bracket- however these worked perfectly with the other, longer screws I got. Overall 10/10 experience- these drywall anchors made me feel like a strong independent woman who don’t need no man.
This is a wonderful project! I've used them everywhere from hanging shelves to mirrors. I've never had an issue with wiggling or movement. I've never tested it up to 75 pounds, but I feel confident in saying they will hold up to at least 25 pounds. Later this month I will be wall mounting some monitors (Total weight of 24 pounds) and I feel really good about it! If they fail, I'll make sure to come back and update - but no news is good news (:
Nothing to write home about. I like to use a slightly smaller hole for these kinds of drywall anchors to get good grip but for these it was easy to break them in a slightly smaller hole. Not the sturdiest plastic but if you’re not going for a super snug fit they work fine.
Tried multiple ways of installing these but just managed to mangle my wall. When screwing them into drywall they kept ripping up my wall and snapping. Tried drilling a hole to start as well and no luck. These couldn't get a grip in the wall and just ripped the top layer of drywall.
Arrived in a timely fashion, did the job. I love the convenience if ordering small items to my house so I don’t have to drag my husband to home depot and them spend a hour there looking at all the tools he wants to throw on top of his tool hoard.
Easy to install with a drill driver. Self tapping and ends up flush with the wall surface. Put in a screw and you'll hear a snap as two flanges expand to prevent pull-out even more. Great for hanging heavy objects like fire extingishers. I keep a pack of these in my drill/bit bag because they work so well!
Got these to replace some flimsy anchors that came with a bookshelf and these are so nice and much easier to use. You don't even need to create a pilot hole to use these as they will just screw straight into the wall.
The title says it all. I'm a novice of the truest form when it comes to anything handy in my home. These anchors are absurdly easy to install, my 9 year old thought it looked fun so I let him help me with a few. These are fantastic!
Purchased this to hang an electric guitar on my wall since I was told this are “the best and most resistant anchors in the market” but it destroyed my wall as I was installing them and opened a huge hole that now I will have to cover…
I haven't had to mount heavy objects to drywall in over a decade so I was thrilled to discover these. So much better than anything I had used before. Drill a pilot hole, screw them in (easy) and your are ready to go. They come out easily when no longer needed (although you will need a fair amount of Spackle to patch the hole, though not as much as the old butterfly bolt type).Having said that, do not try to run the screw in with a power tool. It goes in so tightly that you will strip the head. Hand install only and keep pressure on the screw as it gets very tight as it snaps the insert apart (the insert splits apart for better grip but is held together initially by a couple of tabs that break as you screw the screw in.One issue with these is that, when you try to take the screw out, the insert will come out of the wall with it since the screw fit is so tight. However, once out, you can grip the insert with pliers/vice grips and remove the screw. They can then be installed again.
I had used couple other anchors, and they didn't work in my drywall - started rotating with no grip. These ones are way easy with no need for drill in drywall - in fact you shouldn't be using a drill, use a screw driver. They seem strong enough for medium weight applications. I used 4 in my bathroom for a 6"*24" shelf expecting not more that 25 pounds max. While they are rated 75 pound per anchor, I wouldn't test them beyond 20 pounds per anchor on drywall.
I will never buy a different type of drywall anchor as long as I live. These things are worth their weight in gold! You can drill them in with a screwdriver drill bit tip and you can even screw them into the wall with a screwdriver WITHOUT pre-drilled holes (what?!?). Whether you’re looking for some extra support where the screw and stud connect, or whether you’re hanging something that needs anchoring to the drywall, you won’t regret this purchase.
Out of all I have used these are the best by far. Well made, they don't splinter and break when putting them into the dry wall. The screws that come with are perfect. These are not the cheapest option but they are the best!
Bought these because of the 75 pound rating. Screwed two into my 1/2 drywall to hold a 50 pound piece. Nothing was extended off the wall, they should have held. About 4 hours later, KABOOM!!!! Both anchors pulled free from the drywall and my item crashed landed onto my wood floor, breaking my item and denting my floor. Further inspection showed one of the screws bent causing the item to slide away from the wall and once that happened, the other anchor gave way, tore out of the drywall and everything came crashing down. I wouldn't trust these...find a wooden stud in the wall instead.
I love these things. This is the brand I wanted, same as the ones at Home Depot. They hold well and don't deform as easily as the cheaper variations during install.
The listing and the box advertises that 50 anchors and screws are included, but in reality, on both my orders, they included less than 50 anchors. One box had 49 and another had 47 anchors. I know it's not a big deal, but if this is happening systematically on thousands of units, it's a scam and dirty one ..Do count the actual anchors that you get in the box
Good quality and easy to use. Some people say don't use a drill to drive it in but I had no trouble. Just go slow and don't go Tim Taylor and you should be fine. From now on I am throwing away the fasteners that are included and using these. I think this will be much more secure. The pic is the included hardware that failed on a towel bar.
I used these anchors to install a medicine cabinet in my bathroom. I was able to screw the plastic anchors into my wall, but when putting the screws through the anchor, the anchors never split open. I had to switch to a different type of anchor (after having to patch the holes these left in my wall and paint).
