I like the fact that I could get in tight places but they get Knicks and if you plan on doing any cutting with them upside down it’s impossible because of the safety latch is too loose and keeps coming down and stopping my cuts Gets annoying real quick

The product is just OK. The problem is turn at a 90 deg. the flat cutting face is too wide and catches themetal. the flat cutting faces need to be tapered from the back to the tips.

These are good. They cut well. They aren’t practical for constant HVAC work. They are only practical in certain situations. But they are def good to have for those situations. For the money, if you do HVAC, they are worth the buy.

Have not found one good use for these yet other than making fun of the bosses kid and telling him he had to use these until he becomes a journeyman. Do yourself a favor and buy full sized midwest snips.

These feel really light duty. The plastic grips are slippery. I would have given a 3.5 if I could have. I’ve use other brands of compact snips that I like better. Having said all this, if you don’t do tin for a living these will be fine.

Way smaller then I thought.Although they are great quality they have little to no use for what I do.May set up a tool bag for my 13yo and let him work a few days during summer break.

They only allow marginally better usage in tight spaces than full size snips. I don't feel they are worth the money. I plan to cut some length off the handles of an old set of snips to see if they will work better than these.

Absolute garbage. These look solid, but cutting jaws are not made of proper tool steel. Even after perfectly adjusting jaws to eliminate all lateral "play", these Malco snips can't even manage clean cuts of thin gauge galvanized sheet metal. Unless you're cutting beer-can aluminum, half of your cuts wind up "scissoring" and jamming the jaws. After just a dozen cuts, the cutting surfaces on this throwaway "tool" have 10x as many nicks & gouges as my 10yr old Wiss snips.Did I get a defective unit that slipped through quality control? If Malco contacts me & offers my money back, then I'll update my review to show they believe proper production units are better than I've described.Until then, avoid these toys and buy real tools made of proper tool steel!
