I’ve done hvac for over 4 years now hand crimping spiral and snap lock sheet metal and once I bought this my efficiency shot through the roof. Great crimps every single time super easy to use, durable, and easy on your impact great purchase
Thus is so fast and saves so much time when installing metal ducting, it’s a great tool
I bought it for my husband's birthday in May, and recently he decided to use it but after few uses it broke... I wish I could request a refund or replacement but my unfortunately I can't ...

Crimps good but it’s very aggressive and if you don’t know how to use it right it will hurt you and tear up the metal.
Works great until you break the $40 replaceable tip! Worked great for less than 1 week! Now it's an expensive paper weight! Don't waste your $$$$ !

Haven't had this product for even one week of use and it already broke. I honestly love Malco products but paying that much money on so.ething that breaks this easily is just not worth the money to me. Pretty bummed because I thought that this tool would make my life much easier at work.
Like I said, dangerous and of low quality for the money.
The chuck will break within one week of using the tool. $50+ dollars for replacement chuck that is failed from the beginning. Malco needs to redesign the chuck with a stronger metal and send new chucks to the people that bought the turbo crimpers. They work great for a week then it's all over. Been through 3 chucks and not buying a 4th. Very disappointing 😞
I wish I would have had this 30 years ago!!! What a time saver!!! Very fast!!!! If your a duct guy and crimp very often this is the best took you'll ever own!!
If you do much work with round sheet metal ducting this is worth it, in one job I used it so many times I didn’t even think I would need it and it saved so much time, it’s far quicker and results in more professional look than a hand crimper. It takes a little getting used to though but after that it’s awesome
This tool cripped so well, I developed a back gauge. Now the tool only goes in 1" to do the job I needed to do on my round pipe. Like I said you must get a feel for this tool but it is very strong and Will crimp the round pipe more than you want it too.
This makes easy work of round sheetmetal duct branches. Just make sure you use IMPACT DRIVER ONLY
I’m a union sheet metal worker, and this thing is awesome. A bit of a learning curve l, but once you get the hang of it there’s no turning back. This thing has some weight to it which surprised me at first, but after using it I understand why. I’ve been looking at buying this for about a year, finally pulled the trigger and I’m glad I did. 5 secs is all it takes to crimp a pipe and it’s a close to a factory edge. I stop before the seam afraid to blast through it, though I’m sure it will handle it. Im very happy have to wait to see how long the shank lasts.

I purchased this item much to the chagrin of my fellow tin knickers. I was met with ridicule and told I had “weak wrists”. The jokes on them this thing is a monster!! I can crimp 10x faster than anyone using hand crimps with minimal effort. Guys who were making fun of the purchase now ask to borrow my power crimper.The only hickup I had was the shank broke when I first got them (I went over a spot weld seam that may have been too strong) anyway I contacted malco directly and explained the situation they were overly helpful apologized and promptly shipped me out the redesigned shank (stronger) as well as a pair of gloves and a nice camo malco hat for my troubles! Customer service is top notch!
Make sure you wear ear protection when using this tool.
Like a lot of people who bought this I have bad old hands and don’t need them to hurt after long day of work.I have ran it on 26,24,22,&some 20ga mild steel and some stainless.The trick is to ONLY USE a impact tool and do not run it over the seem…Watch the video on the malco site.I bought mine two years ago and I have no problems.

This is one of the best tools I’ve purchased. Totally worth it. I debated buying this for almost a year or more due to the price of if, I wish I’d have bought it sooner. I’ve hand crimped for years and this will save so much time. I’ve used this a couple times to try it out the other day. 8” pipe took less than 5 seconds with an impact.
The shaft that breaks is actually a nut driver. #1 I tried to grind down a nut driver to the size of hole but it broke again. I drilled out the hole and did some filing to snuggly fit a new nut driver and used JB weld to hold it on. Let it sit overnight to fully cure. It has been quite awhile and hasn't broken yet. If you don't want to do this, Don't Buy It.
Month in and is already wearing out a little bit. Works maybe a little too well. Will over crimp things by a half inch for circular duct. Otherwise it saves my time, and my hands. Would recommend
Product works as described. The only down side is it probably weights 5 lbs. more than a normal impact drill yet it only goes to 24 gauge. This isn’t meant for commercial installers. Most spiral is heavier than 24 gauge. It’s made for cheap snap lock. Bit disappoint that for $130 it’s meant to crimp $2 items.
Works Great
Tried multiple times on 30gauge 6” warm air pipe and same result every time. Kinks the pipe into almost an octagon. Might work better on heavy gauge pipe? Not worth the money
Used the power crimper for 1 week and the shaft broke so I bought a replacement shaft and that last me 2 days. Very disappointed and the money I spent on this tool.
On MAYBE the tenth piece of pipe, the driveshaft COMPLETELY SHEARED OFF!! And we're talking thin HVAC duct pipe! Extremely surprised and disappointed in MALCO. I doubt I'll ever get it but I want my money back.
Makes for a snug fit, but does not roll evenly.
I was skeptical about buying this because it's not cheap. Hand crimpers are a lot cheaper. But I'm very impressed at how it crimps. It's noisy and you can only use it with a impact. I tried using it with my regular drill and it twisted the pipe and cut my arm so do not use anything but an impact it even has a warning label. But if you're crimping lots of pipe there's no competing with a hand crimper at how fast you can use this. Definitely worth the money if you are made of it.
Easy to use makes jobs go much faster than doing by hand
Alright so sadly my return window has closed but lemme just explain. I bought this tool forever ago and I had only used it once before, but now recently I had the great opportunity to use it again because it really is a great tool and also quite expensive mind you. But right as soon as I used it for the second time literally ever, the thick metal bit that connects the impact and the crimp box snapped. And sadly it broke so jaggedly that I have no chance at welding it back together so I guess there goes 140 dollars down the drain.
Arrived broken in the packaging so I don't think it would last on a real job doing real work if it's that fragile
Only had a 30 day warranty. I used it exactly TWICE. That is a very expensive tool at $61.00 per use.
