These staples worked great for me. I installed over 1000 staples and only had a few that got bent, and that was most likely the fault of the stapler or the installer. They hold very well in rigid foam board, but can be removed if necessary without too much effort.

Worked with my 3/4” pex tubing and 2” foam board. Used them in my malco stapler, had no issues and was very quick and easy. Used about 600 staples for about 1500ft of pex.

Malco FBS2BX Foamboard Staples, 2-1/2 in., 300-Pack

I wanted to use these to hold the pex in place while they shotcreted our swimming pool, but didn't want to spend the money on the nice gun for just one job. Turns out, there's no way these can be pushed into 2-pound EPS foam by hand, or with a hammer.It's a great product, but I couldn't use it.
