This is a great investment if you are in the gutters and downspouts business.I bought the punch and the GOP34XUK die, the cross cut 3x4, along with it. Makes a nice clean cut, and the operation could really almost be done totally one handed.Something I don’t really think is very well advertised, or if it is I missed it, is the fact that because of the orientation of the throat you can easily rotate the die for making A or B cuts. However you will not be making a B cut with the 3x4 die on a 5” gutter because you would end up cutting open the face of the gutter instead of the bottom.It’s a much better cut than the previous punch I was using, and makes a nice tight seal around the elbow. After punching 7 downspouts yesterday I’m definitely interested in purchasing more dies to keep my options open.Also yes you can use this punch on a gutter that is already installed. That’s my preferred method for punching holes.

Cuts a good drop tube hole but gets stuck every time. Dents the gutter every time we remove it. This thing appears to be expensive trash.

It seems to work good, but I can't actually try it, because it does not come with the cutter. It does appear on the photo, but you have to buy it separately. Very disapointed I have to spend another 100$ + I have to wait for it to arrive. Other than that it seem like a good product

Okay. Yes this does not come with the base attachment. Bought that separate. This tool is the biggest pain in the ass. Once the whole is punched, it will not come out of the whole. Look else where for a product

The punch part did not come with the unit. rip off.

An absolute disappointment. Thought it would save me time and money, definitely not. Blades cut well, but tool will not let go of the material without a great deal of damage. Poor design.

Where is the rest of it . Not what the pictures show. In the display of what your seling . Misleading.....

This product came incomplete, it didn't come with blades like advertised in the picture.

Tool ram wobbles to much for acceptable alignment with the base with the UK Dies attached. Base plate is tapped with beveled holes. The bevels will ot allow proper realignment.Upgrade to the X type dies.

Works excellent, a necessary tool for someone who hangs many gutters. Saves me about 1 to 3 hours a week in time spent cutting downspout openings. Perfectly cut holes every time, stays sharp. We've cut about 80 holes with it and it is almost as sharp as the first day. Make sure you buy the die for the size holes you're cutting, its sold separately but worth every dollar.

Garbage. Finally went to use it and the shaft was misaligned so it would bind up about half way through the cut. Return policy is 30 days, so I was unable to return it. Would not recommend.

its to big an hevy also gets stuck on gutter an scraches it its just not made very well

Deceitful picture there is no die to cut out the metal it's just a clamp basically. Highly disappointed.

Works perfect! So much easier, worth every penny. Only thing that is disappointing is you have to buy the blade separately to even use it. Should come with an attachment in my opinion

get a drill. dont waste your time. sticking to gutter . hard to take off when u punch hole

The is a tool we use on every job. It cuts holes easily through 5" and 6" k-style gutters. We also have the X-Style cut punch which works great also. The only issue we find is that the outlets most companies have are about 1/6-1/8" to small unless you use rivets or screws to secure the outlet. We find this to be a defeat of purpose since any hole becomes a potential leak. The only outlets we have found to fit this die is made by Kaycan Corporation. With theirs we run a bead of seal and squeeze it tightly into the hole.If you don't have Kaycan outlets, then opt for the X-Style by Malco only, do not by the standard outlet die.

It has no punch out with it. I couldn't tell from the pics and i wanted to have a round hole not a rectangle

Look at the picture......do you see cutting dies on the machine ?Machine is coming with no dies !Be careful if you want to buy this cutter !

Much too flimsy for commercial use.

I have only used it once,...did a fine job, much better than trying to hack at the gutter with snips. Well worth the $$

Super quality product

Got my tool supper fast. Didn't get my cutter with it though. I am anxious to start using it.

The main tool itself easily punches steel gutters but the 2x3 punch die is not compatible with any 2x3 funnel I used. The punched hole is too smal by 1/4 inch! The die and base do not fit tightly together so it bends the punched hole all the way around it so you no longer have a flat mounting surface on the gutter.I prefer the rectangle funnels because the X-cuts are sloppy and too small so they clog easy, are harder the clean out and cause the galvanized gutters to eventually rust and are more prone to leak around corners of the hole. The round holes are too small so they clog as well. Anyone who installs the X-cuts or round holes in my opinion is lazy and performs sloppy work having no consideration for quality or their customers. The only pace a round hole would be acceptable is in desert locations and/or no trees. If you differ with me prove it, I am not stubborn or belligerent. I am constantly dealing with those problems for customers and the gutter companies generally do not clean gutters, they take the money and run. Further evidence of laziness is that most round funnels I see are not fastened or caulked, then the funnel and downspouts fall off!The 2x3 punch I received from Amazon had been used and returned and was missing the mounting hardware. Amazon could not help me so I had to contact Malco and BEG them into sending me hardware which they were reluctant to do but I was able to convince them. They kept telling me to ask the seller for hardware. I guess the reason the punch was returned was because makes a sloppy hole!I will be returning mine.

Must have for any gutter installation. This tool makes forming downspout outlets a simple process, even with the gutter installed on the house. A bit pricey, but it is awesome. Changing tooling is easy. I would like it even more if the anvil had a no-mar surface as it is just painted or anodized aluminum and it will scratch the bottom of the gutter if you are not careful. I covered mine with blue tape and that helped a lot. This tool did not have any trouble with some galvanized steel guttering that we ran across, but I would be worried about taking the edge off of the cutter if you had to deal with that a lot. It will punch copper and aluminum all day long.

If you do gutter work and dont have this. Get one. Sure you can use a hole saw and install the round drops but then you downspouts dont fit well and you have limited flow capacity. Yes it is expensive but worth every penny.

Acme Tools was the worst company I have ever dealt with!!! Customer service was a smart a** and rude. The punch I ordered was not as pictured. The use a stock image and not an actual photo showing that the tool is for the frame only. They have since made sure it states there is no die assembly in their description. When I called to express my situation, I was quickly given a return authorization number without an attempt to right the problem. I am very dissatisfied with both the product and the company. I wouldn't even recommend them to a competitor.
