Been carrying one of these around for over 30 years. They are great hammers. I like that the handles are leather in lieu of rubber, because rubber tends to give me blisters after a full day of hammering. My old one is quite fatigued after all the years, so I'm retiring it. This new one looks and feels to be the same great quality that I am used to.
Used this same hammer for about a year and it quickly became my go to until somebody swiped it on a job. Went and ordered this one before reading the reviews and seeing some say this may be a Chinese rip off. I can confirm that this is the real deal and not in fact a knock off. Great hammer, good weight and feels just right in the hand. I couldn’t see myself using anything else.
Its a hammer. its a little fancier. but its a hammer. it works well. if you have the money to spend, get it. if you dont ,estwing makes one half the price which also hammers.
Hammer is not a fake !!I put this hammer next to one from Malco ! absolutely the same !But the bottom metal plate was slightly lose . Used a little krazy glue and its perfect
I have had and used this hammer almost daily since 2001. Occasionally I will oil the leather to keep it supple. It can separate like some others have mentioned. Part of it is how it's made yes, but part of it is taking care of it. Sure it's a hammer. An expensive hammer. Take care of your investment and it will take care of you. And I also at some point welded the two base pins to the pommel, being careful not to damage the leather. This hammer has made me a lot off money. Way more than I spent on it 18 yrs ago
I got this for my hvac job cause its flat on the sides and makes quick work of putting duct together. Like some of the reviews said, the metal disk on the end of the handle got loose and now i gotta super glue it or somethin. Based on the reviews, i cant say i was expecting a solid handle, but for the brand and price i was hoping for better quality. I only had this hammer a week until it broke loose.
I’ve been in sheet metal business all my life. I always used Malco sheet-metal hammers, and mine was stolen and I wanted to buy another one, and I bought this one, but it doesn’t feel right, something is not right.I think this is imitation by Chinese.I am not sure, so I am going to try to replace it with another one. Same hammer but 10 dollars more. Maybe that’s why is was more expensive because it was real, and I didn’t buy it.
I use to own one years ago and would still have it if it hadn't got stolen, It's a good weight and very durable for using to fabricate and install duct work.
Im starting to think that these arent genuine malco hammers. Ordered one from here and it started to rust within 3 weeks. It feels funny as hell in my hand, not like other malcoa ive used
hammer looks great, Feels great, I returned the item before I used it due to 2 loose rivets at the bottom of hammer. it was also a little to every for the duct work I do.
