I have bought 3 of these an 2 the clips have broke within the first couple weeks. They work great until the clip breaks or bends. I wish you could get a replacement clip . To expensive for something that breaks so quickly
I only managed to hang a few soffit panels before the retaining clip was bent out of shape and jamming. I turned it to the side and used it without the clip for the rest of the house. Great tool and much faster than a normal punch
Fo hard to get places where you need to nail a small nail - this it what you want. I needed to nail the soffit and those aluminum nails are a pain not to mention the groove you have to nail it into. This tool is great - it holds the nail and set it - perfect .
The picture was misleading, the nail punch looked smaller.If I were to pay more attn. to the metric sizes written, I would've ordered it smaller. Mymistake so now I have one for larger nails if needed.
The little metal spring that is supposed to hold the nail got bent out after a few uses.It's better to buy a regular nail punch for half the price of this one
Worked great till the nail holder clip thingy bent. Tried to bend it back to work again and never was able to get it back to what it was when new. Eventually, the clip broke off completely. Other than that it works fairly well. Only other thing is it will tend to unscrew in the middle between the red and bare metal area so you have to watch that and occasionally screw it back down. Used it so much it is starting to mushroom on both ends (maybe 200-250 stainless nails in).
Not much to say here. This item is described as a box of 6, but they only ship 1 and charge nearly double. You can get a heavy duty version for just a portion of what they want for this item.This is a decent standard punch, but way over priced. The price seems fair for 6, but definitely not for 1.
Awesome for 2 weeks of light use then boom the clip broke rendering it a decent punch but without nail holding feature .Just buy cheaper one without nail holding clip .
I've been using this to install baseboard molding and trim.I have to be careful with the finishing nails to line it up straight or it has a tendancy to bend the nails.It leaves small marks on the cove trim but nothing on the flat baseboard pieces.
Good nail punch, however the nail clip broke after about 2 weeks. Still works good as a standard trim punch, but don’t expect a long life from the nail holding feature.
Just wow. Thought I was getting a quality product, as Malco is a good brand name from what my friends told me. On the second nail, the nail holder broke! Granted it’s only a little clip, but that’s ridiculous to me. It still is useable, but not as effectively.
I like this tool. Holds the nail well, and is a big help in nailing into narrow places! Works well with overhead nailing. It holds nails with very small nail heads though, so, first, check the head size of the nails you wish to use with this tool.
