I own a corded tool for cutting boards. Had it for years. Decided it is time to upgrade to cordless. What can I say, this particular item is just not worth it for the money. Tried it with several drills and the performance is mediocre at best. Also feels very flimsy - don't think it will last long on the job site. Oh and "Free returns" from Amazon is a joke. The locations of "free returns" places are at least a 30 minutes drive for me. If I want to ship it - I have to pay for it with no reimbursement from Amazon!

This makes cutting hardie backer a breeze. Dust free. Extremely accurate cuts. I recommend this to everybody who does this type of work for a living. I use it daily and it’s been a life saver.
Ripper of a product. Ideal for converting your impact driver into an fc cutting weapon. Great for cutting curves and is easily manoeuvred. Cuts with little dust so the nasty silica dust doesn’t become airborne. I highly recommend this product.
This item works surprisingly well. I was skeptical about the functional ability of this tool to attach and work effectively with my Dewalt impact tool for cutting cement fiber plank. It fits well and functions perfectly to make long cuts as well as delicate cuts for precision. I would highly recommend this tool for anyone working with Hardiplank.

These are amazing im a tile setter using tons of hardy board ive use grinders circular saws sawzalls to cut this stuff and there’s always tons of dust mess and blades but with these cutters there’s no dust no mess just great easy cuts every time im able to cut the board right in the bathroom no more cutting outside in the freezing cold best tool to own cut about 500 ln ft so fat n ever cut is as good as the first
I've been using the TSF2 to cut HardiePanel sheets for several weeks. It is very easy to attach to my Dewalt 20v impact driver, although I would agree with others that the plastic cowling is not needed. I also agree with the suggestion to mount the drill/ driver upside-down and regular re-tightening of the screws.
Lacking directions but wasn't hard to fit on my drill driver. Did a bunch of 1/4 inch backer board!
I built a bar for my outdoor kitchen & used 1/2” cement board for the outside. I tried scoring and snapping at first..... but that sucked. This thing made my life soooo much easier. Easy to use, accurate (with a little practice), & kicked up almost no dust. I highly recommend it.

Worth every penny!! Makes cutting 3/4” hardieboard a breeze at a much more reasonable price than buying a dedicated set of shears. They run about $300.
These shears work really well. I little heavy with a full-size drill but totally worth it for the convenience of having a cordless tool.

eazy to use ,well built, except this hex head. this is the second time i use it on site, it just snap off. i trid to fix it, but turns out it is one piece forged.for the money i paid i expect it to be stronger and easily replaced part for the weak point. since im in new zealand, it is costy to post it back.

I don't want to sound like a shill but this thing has been amazing. I had 100 - 4 x 10 panels to install around windows and other wall protrusions. It cut circles around other methods for larger Hardi-Panel boards. Single outlet receptacles were still a challenge but it chewed through quads and multi-switch box cuts. It is still running strong.One criticism is the angle is very particular for longer cuts. With my battery drill, I had to mount it at about a 30 degree angle to give it clearance. Minor inconvenience thought considering how effective it was.Overall, I would recommend this for anyone using Hardie products if they want to avoid crooked snap cuts and saw blade dust.
The shears made short work of a bathroom remodel, cutting through 1/4" and 1/2" HardieBacker board with ease. I attached the shears to a 3/8" Hitachi corded drill which handled the job with ease. The drill never heated up, nor showed any indications of fatigue while cutting. I had tried attaching the shears to a 1/2" drill however the case of the drill was a little too large/long for the shear support cradle. After using the shears, my only downfall was not purchasing the shears sooner in completing the two previous bathroom remodels in our house. I suspect the shears saved me a couple of hours not having to score or use jig saw, which produced a great deal of dust. The shears are virtually dust free.
For siding, this is one of the best tools you can have, especially for curves.
Could use some mkre instructions on set up, but pretty straight forward nome the less.

This item performed exactly as advertised. It's a great "lower cost" alternative for small jobs on a budget. I would absolutely buy it again.
This works like it should. I have cut over 150 pieces of 8.25 inch wide hardi plank pieces with no problem. I have used with both corded and 18v cordless ryobi drills. I bought this so I could store it easier than a drill sized tool. If my job was to hang hardie plank every day for work I would have bought the whole tool for $20 or $30 more but this is perfect for me.
I built a new room and used these to cut the hardie board siding and they ripped right through them with ease. They also greeatly reduced the dust that my saws made. I found I had smoother control with my drill than with the driver.

This is really a great tool for cutting Hardi Plank siding. It cuts right through with no dust, and is easy to use. This sure beats a circular saw to cut boards. I haven't tried cutting 1/2" backer boards yet, but I think it will do fine too. I'm using a 20v. Bosch Drill to cut. The only thing that isn't real great is the plastic guard that cover the drill chuck. It is hard to keep in place. Other than that it's a good tool.
It doesn't cut well
Not quite as clean as a circular blade but very little dust production. I found with light sanding after a cut the edges were very close to a blade cut. For me, the low dust production was a huge factor. You also lose a bit more material in the cut. You can get a slight curve (more than a circular blade) but don't expect a tight curve. Also it takes a bit more attention to keep a straight cut over long distances compared to a circular blade.Workmanship of this tool seems very high. The shear and mechanism seem rock solid and are holding up well so far through one full project. The left/right angle adjustment is also very useful and simple to change. Even if you have a circular blade, this is a great tool well worth having for cement fiber projects.
Super happy with this new device. Makes cutting fiber cement board easy and hardly messy at all as compared to the saws. Today I used it for the first time and was ripping 12’ long 1” wide starter strips. I steadied the device with my left and worked the drill w my right hand. By the end of my second strip my wrist was getting sore from countering all the sideways pulling motions. It wasn’t very noisy and it was super easy to guide into position. The curled up waste kept getting in my way so I couldn’t see very well so I had to keep removing it or pushing it to the side. Overall is a huge win bc of the dust reduction and ability to get precision cuts with minimal effort.

This shear cut my cement board while emitting no dust. That's a home run. It hooked up to my Dewalt drill easily for accurate cuts. It is well made and it worked fine, but there are cheaper alternatives out there if you need it for a one time repair as I did. I don't cry over spilled milk. I have a useful quality tool that will be ready for me if and when I need it in the future.
