I was disappointed with the amount of tension achieved. The other issue I have is the tape left after using the cutter. Having witnessed severe injuries from the razor sharp cut I use flush cut pliers to trim them flush with the lock. This being said the tool is of good quality and as with all my Malco tools it will likely be with me a long time.

This is a professional tool that I image will outlast anything that I will ever need to do. Glad I bought it because it makes ductwork so much easier to handle.

I'm a firm believer in spending a good amount on tools, this being Said, this thing has held up great in all and worked like a charm but you can get the same quality, and comfort for less money.
My only complaint with Malco is they are sometimes difficult to find and they don't offer a larger line of tools.Never had a bad Malco tool - not in 40 plus years of HVAC service.

If you work in the industry, buy this. Its pricey but if you use it daily you will get at least a year or 2 out of it before the blade dulls. Never seen one break, just dulls eventually. Still works tho, just not as fast. Dont waste your money on any other brand.
I used this to tighten/cut 26" 200lb tensile strength cables ties, and it works very well.I was previously using some home depot all plastic cable tie tool, and this is much, much better.
This is my favorite flex strap tool,the manuel cutter is better than the Malco atomatic cutter and less money
Be advised:1. The tie clamping piece is knife sharp and cuts the tie before fully tighten.2. The tie cutting part leaves a sharp and unsafe stub. Must use dykes to cut flush/safe.
I wished it did most zip ties, but it only does the fat ones.

I am a HVAC worker and this zip tie gun is the best it makes my job easier and faster highly recommend it..
This cable tie gun was purchased for use in putting tie wraps around flexible HVAC duct work. The gun was great in cinching up the tie wraps. Why the 4 versus 5 stars you ask? For me, the cut off lever was a little too short and required a lot of force to cut the tie wrap tail off.
Husband uses it all day at work, the little razor dulled after a month or so.

There really is nothing like a Malco tool. I've purchased darn near every one and have yet to be disappointed. This zip gun is the exact opposite of flimsy. One hand operation is easy as long as you release tension when trying to cut. Cutting uses the index and middle finger, but I bet guys with really swoll hands could cut with just the index. This tool is standard issue for HVAC.
Works right Everytime for years. Durable to a fault. Good luck keeping up with them. They're that good.
It may cost a bit more, but this is the best one! Had a malco for years untill helper lost it in insulation(never ever lend your tools) then bought the Klein version😣, metal bends and stops cutting. Dont be like me. Buy the malco and you will never know any problems
