The HETA series offers a precise method to secure roof trusses to concrete and masonry walls. These products feature staggered nail patterns for enhanced uplift resistance. They include guidance on using two anchors for single- and multi-ply trusses. The TSS, a companion to the META, provides a moisture barrier between the concrete and truss. The preassembled unit is riveted with no height adjustment. Use all specified fasteners (included). The META, HETA, and HHETA are embedded 4" into a 6" min. concrete beam or 8" nominal grouted block wall; HETAL is embedded 5 1/16"; DETAL is embedded 4 1/2". For misplaced truss anchors, a shim is required if they're more than 1/8" but less than 1 1/2" from the truss face. Design the shim with a Truss Engineer. If the gap exceeds 1 1/2", install new anchors. The TSS moisture barrier can be preattached to the truss using 6d commons. In double embedded anchor installations, avoid installing fasteners where straps overlap when wrapped over the truss heel.
