The META series offers a designed method to securely attach roof trusses to concrete and masonry walls. These products feature staggered nail patterns for enhanced uplift resistance. They include details on using two anchors for single- and multi-ply trusses. The TSS, a companion product, provides a moisture barrier between the concrete and truss. The preassembled unit is riveted with no height adjustment. Use all specified fasteners (included). The META, HETA, and HHETA are embedded 4" into a 6" min. concrete beam or 8" nominal grouted block wall; HETAL is embedded 5 1/16"; DETAL is embedded 4 1/2". For mislocated truss anchors, a shim must be provided if they're greater than 1/8" but less than 1 1/2" from the truss face. When the gap is greater than 1 1/2", install new anchors. The TSS moisture barrier can be preattached to the truss using 6d commons. In double embedded anchor installations, avoid installing fasteners where straps overlap when wrapped over the truss heel.
