Works as expected. Good quality.

Very pleased with these. Still made in the US and very well ground and finished. Inside surface of the jaws is pretty flat and parallel, just a very minor gap (really good for a forging). I wish they made a pair of these just a big smaller for off-label hobby/utility use. Decided to get these over the pretty-good Titan model and it was definitely worth the extra cost, really quite a good value.

This worked great the first time I used it on my Land Cruiser snap ring inside the transfercase. Now, working on my F250 the tip snapped off. Disappointed for sure.

First of all, you can tell by the feel that these are a well-made pair of pliers. I needed them to remove the retainer clips from a 99 4Runner axle. The pen style retainer pliers that I had on hand just would not do the job. I struggled for about an hour trying to remove just one clip, did some research, and discovered these pliers. After they arrived, I was able to remove the rings in a matter of seconds. Well worth the price to reduce the aggravation.I would say that I would order them again, but the way these are made, they will probably last longer than I will.

Nice quality. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if snap-on or matco rebrands them and sells them for $120. Definitely not $1.50 each in bulk from China quality. There's some apparent thought and pride that went into designing and manufacturing these. It opens smooth and controlled even on the stiffer clips with very little torsional flex. I love the dimples for extra stability. Helps a lot when you have a long spline shaft to clear.Bottom line is if you're searching around because you need this style snap ring plier just stop now and buy it. Stop wasting your time browsing, you have arrived at what you were looking for. You're welcome.

THESE ARE MADE IN THE USA. They need to put this in the description.....This is one of those tools that you wish you would have bought years ago! These save you so much time and frustration, not to mention bloody knuckles. They are worth their weight in gold. These are heavy duty and very well made. Stop thinking about it and just buy it already. EXCELLENT PRODUCT!
Ben Nabimanya
As specified and works well
Grace Taylor

Kim Myburgh
Worked very well for my project.
Maximo Skiles
I was rebuilding a transmission and needed some snap ring pliers, the old ones I had kept slipping. These have little grooves to hold the ends of the snap rings and the handles are long enough to exert steady pressure.

worked perfectly for getting the clip off of the inboard side CV joint on a 4th gen 4Runner. $37 is a lot to spend on a tool I'll use a few times in my life but that's what we do, right?

The transfer case on my truck went out. Went to take it apart, and I needed this tool. I messed around with cheap local parts store pliers, made something work, but it was a hassle. After looking at some forums, someone mentioned this pair.I ended up buying them AFTER the fact lol. So I have not used them yet. But they do feel solid, and are US made IIRC. I’m nowhere near my toolbox to double check.I wish I would have purchased these from the get go!
Freddie Hill
accurate; hardened

Use this primarily when dealing with c clips on CV axles or rebuilding manual hubs. It hasn’t let me down and is a good size for my hand.
Lexi Shaw
I use these as "innie" pliers instead of their intended use. I mainly use them for removing hydraulic plungers from tappet bodies. They work great, the spring is nice and strong, and they feel like they were built tough. My co-worker has been using a pair of these for decades and they still work like my brand new ones, if that is anything to go by for durability.
Tanya White
Well built tool. I have used them to pry various things apart beside snap rings. The long handles provide good leverage.
Moses Mbabazi
These are great external jaw pliers, good quality!
Myah Stracke
Good solid built tool. Feels good in hand. Function is fluid in its movement. Awesome tool for the price.

I bought these for a slip yoke eliminator install on a jeep. There are some pesky retaining rings with no holes for standard snap-ring plyers and these worked great. There is a knurled finish on the blades that held the clips well and the long handles give you a lot of power for thicker rings. Overall I am very happy with this tool, it made what could have been a frustrating experience very easy. These seem to be well made and I am very happy with them.

You squeeze, the metal thingy goes ping and flies across the shop hitting Earl in the eye.

I purchased these to install a lock ring on a crankshaft of a VW Type 1 Engine. The ring retains the gears on the front of the crank but does not have any holes like a usual snap ring. These grabbed the end of the retaining ring and opened it up to get it over the end of the crank and into the groove it sits in. Worked well and will be used again on my next engine build. Might also work with other applications where a retaining ring needs to be expanded. May also work for piston rings but have not tried it for that.
