The dimensions in the product description are inaccurate and socket did not fit into where I was planning to use it. The head of the item I received is 1/8" thick (only accurate dimension in product description) and about 11/16" long and the socket height is just over 1".It is totally useless to me because it does not fit into the slot I was planning to use it for.
If you own a CO2 air rifle, this socket with an extension will perfectly fit into the slot for the valve down inside the tube on rifles like the QB78 to remove and install them.
I bought for a stubborn outboard lower unit screw. It was too big and I had to return but was impressed with the quality and would order again without hesitating.
I bought this to remove the screw caps on my Harley Heritage Softail Classic oil pump. The blade was too thick so I had to grind about 1/16' off to make it fit. Then it worked out fine..
The tool is not size accurate and very poorly made! When t tryed to grind it down to the adequate thickness I needed ? I found the tool to be made of subpar materials.
I bought the drag link socket to remove the slotted caps on a 1986 Harley Davidson oil pump ,the engine is a 80 cu / in Evo engine . I was surprised that all of the dimensions for this drag link socket was not on Amazon ,the socket is a 3/8 drive ,the outside diameter is .690 , the length is 1.130 long , the blade width is .121 , this socket would be perfect for a .125 slot and the slots on my oil pump are .093 so I am going to machine the width of the blade to .090 and that will fit perfect.
The quality of the drag link socket is fine. Needed this to remove bolts on the rear seats of a Porsche 911 993. In researching this part, I expected the width of the flathead bit to be fit, but it was bigger than expected and does not fit. Wish this listing provided a diagram or picture of measurements for this socket. Would have been helpful. This could work if I file it down, but I don't have the tools/patience for this. Going with another option.
A solid little tool. I had to shave the tip down a little to get it to fit into the slot of the thing which I was trying to tighten (VW Beetle engine oil pressure relief plug). I ground it down with a tungsten grinder on a die grinder and I can tell you that the material this is made out of is REALLY hard. The fresh tungsten grinder had a hard time grinding it and took a good while considering how little I took off. It should take a lot of abuse.
