Came here to see what the warranty was since mine broke. The ratchet directional lever does not stay in the Right or Left position but moves freely and has to be held in place to work. Junk.

the "classic" pear is a no-frills, "industrial"-style ratchet with an aesthetic reminiscent of yesteryear. minimal drag, extremely aggressive Starrett-like knurling, easy to disassemble for maintenance. low tooth count is not a sticking point for me, i am not an auto mechanic so the questionably greater arc length isn't an impediment. the gears feel very stout. the “premium” pears may offer a touch more elegance without sacrificing any function. I own both and am very happy with my Proto tools. Overall I can’t recommend this enough, it exudes a simple and old-fashioned austerity.

I have like proto but never spent the extra for it . Needed a tougher 3/8 ratchet for a tough work environment.

I have no doubt this tool will be around in my garage for a while. Seems well built. I just wish it had more teeth

Warning this isn't a Stanley!! It is a knock off. It's stiff which is fine but when it's obviously been refurbished there's a problem.

Would've preferred if it had more teeth but she'll get the job done.

I bought this ratchet around four years ago and use it daily. It has become my favorite ratchet and since then I bought one more for the garage in chrome. Like both of them alot.
Plain old Bob
Perfect wrench. It does the job just as I thought it would. I'll use it today on a little job I have to do.
