Maybe it’s my mistake, but I spent at least one hour researching flathead sockets, and I got this one, hoping it’d fit, but the item description is not clear on the size of ratchet it’s made for! So I have to return it. Seems well built and sturdy though. But the tip is still too big and thick for my application.
Past reviewers have been reporting the thickness of the flat portion of the socket screw head as 0.110". What I currently received from the supplier is a thickness of the flat portion of the screw head of 0.150". I counted on the flat portion of the screw head being 0.110" for my application. Now it does not fit the screw slot I have and the socket will require costly machining to reduce the flat portion thickness to 0.110".
I had to grind it down some. Worked great to break free a stubborn spa impeller. If u know what im talking about, there is only a slot to hold the motor from spinning. Did the job
I bought this to remove the pistol grip folding stock from my spas-12. I had to file down the blade but the metal in this bit is good enough that it did not loose any strength i would buy again great odd ball piece to have around. Worked perfect for me with a little modification
Just what you'd expect. Easy and smoothly applied torque at the center of a fastener (in this case, an oil fill port that someone had tightened waaaaay too far). I had bent a couple of washers, a bicycle wrench, and a quarter to try to open this fastener. This little drag link jobbie made it easy as pie.
Tool worked fine. Great fit on my johnson outboard motor, took out the screw and sprayed oil everywhere. I thought the oil/fluid leaked out so I was going to refill. Surprise!! fluid under pressure, reservoir not empty.
